COVID 19

Our office is committed to keeping our team and patients safe during this pandemic. We continue to try and exceed the necessary steps required to ensure absolute compliance.

  • Reception area seating is spaced out to ensure social distancing
  • A screening questionnaire will take place prior to your visit
  • We will ask you to sanitize your hands upon arrival and departure of the practice
  • Masks must be worn at all times when not seated in the dental operatory for the treatment
  • Monitored patient flow to prevent unnecessary exposure to one another
  • Plexiglass barriers are installed at the front reception desk
  • Enclosures for necessary operatories where hygiene services are performed
  • All commonly used areas, as well as all operatory room, are continuously disinfected after every patient and throughout the day
  • All of our providers and team members will be wearing the required PPE during all points of contact
  • The novel coronavirus causes the disease known as COVID-19. This disease has a long incubation period during which carriers of the virus may not show symptoms and still be contagious.
  • Some dental procedures create water spray which is one way that the novel coronavirus may spread. The ultra-fine nature of the spray can linger in the air for minutes to sometimes hours. This may transmit the coronavirus.
  • Due to the frequency of visits of other dental patients, the characteristics of the novel coronavirus, and the characteristics of dental procedures, there may be an elevated risk of contracting the novel coronavirus simply by being in a dental office.
  • Nova Scotia’s Chief Medical Officer of Health has asked individuals to maintain physical distancing of at least 2 meters (6 feet). However, it is not possible to maintain this distance and receive dental treatment.
